In October 2016, the º£½ÇÉçÇøGroup launched the Global Diversity Project, in which group companies worldwide participate. As One Global Ricoh, we are working to promote Group-wide diversity and inclusion. This initiative led to the establishment of the Global Diversity & Inclusion Statement.
On March 8 of every year, designated as International Women?s Day, we hold events to promote women?s empowerment in a number of locations. This event, which began in in 2017 and originates from º£½ÇÉçÇøLatin America, Inc., has gradually expanded to other regions, providing effective opportunities for employee networking as well as customer engagement and confidence-building.
We also created a video compilation of messages from female leaders from various countries and disseminated it to encourage employees to take on new challenges.

At º£½ÇÉçÇøUSA ¡°diversity¡± is much more than just an initiative: it?s a way of life. ¡°Diversity is first a matter of ethics, but not only that,¡± says Donna Venable, Executive Vice President, Human Resources at º£½ÇÉçÇøUSA, Inc.
¡°More and more our valued customers want to know how our sales and services are structured around diversity. They are looking for a partner they are comfortable with. In that sense for us diversity is not just the right thing to do, it also makes good business sense.¡±
Underpinning all º£½ÇÉçÇøUSA?s diversity initiatives is The Diversity and Social Responsibility Council, which serves as an advisory board to senior management. One particularly powerful initiative, is something called ¡°Supplier Diversity,¡± which is both a strategic imperative and a competitive advantage for the company. Simply put Supplier Diversity consists in seeking and expanding partnerships with minority-owned, small, small-disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled-veteran-owned and HUBZone small businesses.
