Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP) is a measure to quantify the environmental impact of products and services by calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout their life cycle from raw material procurement, production, transportation, use and maintenance, to disposal and recycling. It is usually given as CO2 equivalent.
The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method is used for the calculation.
CFP is utilized to stimulate both operators and consumers into thinking about reducing GHG emissions and involve them in these efforts.
